What We Do
Inspire Women’s Health provides care for women with mental health disorders from adolescence through menopause with a special focus on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders which are mood disorders occurring during pregnancy and the postpartum period. We treat a variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD and PTSD to name a few. We believe that therapy is just as important as medication, so we try to incorporate a multidisciplinary approach to treatment. We collaborate as a team to provide the best care to support our clients. We offer telehealth services and will be offering in person appointments in 2021.

Welcome! I am the owner and founder of Inspire Women’s Health. I am a women’s health nurse practitioner and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I have been a nurse for more than 25 years and a nurse practitioner since 2012. My own experience with a PMAD (perinatal mood and anxiety disorder) and the many women I encountered while working to provide maternity care is what led me to open Inspire. Many changes occur when we are pregnant. It can be a happy time but also can be a difficult time. As many as 1 in 7 mothers experience a PMAD. It can occur from the time you get pregnant through 1 year postpartum. Often we do not recognize it is happening or we feel alone and afraid to ask for help. In addition to mental health disorders surrounding pregnancy, I provide psychiatric medication management in a non-judgemental environment to girls and women from adolescence to menopause. My goal is to reduce the stigma surrounding PMADs and mental health and promote acceptance, paying careful attention to issues of inequality based on race, gender identity, and sexuality. I work closely with several therapists and would be happy to connect you with someone that you feel like you would be compatible with.
Inspire Women’s Health is excited to be able to partner with several other care providers in the area. We are collaborative with several other medical providers for a solid network referral. We work with primary care, pediatric and OB/GYN offices, doulas, and mental health counselors. We collaborate with therapists who are specially trained in perinatal mental health. We will do our very best to serve you by working with our community partners to get you all the help you need.
